How do I book a session?

Every booking starts with an application. Submit your idea, placement and style through the booking form, choose two or three dates that suit you, and the artist reviews each request personally. You will hear back within 3–5 business days.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. Scenic Tattoo Studio is a private studio and works by appointment only. Every session is booked in advance through an application so the artist can prepare properly for your piece.

Is a deposit required?

A deposit secures your date and comes off your total. It is $100 at minimum, rising with the length of the session — $150 for a Quarter Session, $200 for a Half Session, $300 for a Full Session, $500 for a Full Day, Back-to-Back. Deposits are non-refundable, and the balance is due on the day of your appointment.

How are my appointment date and time decided?

You choose the days that work for you; the artist confirms which one and sets the start time. Session length depends on the scale and detail of the design, so the time is set once the artist has reviewed your idea rather than picked in advance. You will receive written confirmation before anything is final.

What is your cancellation policy?

One reschedule is free with at least 72 hours notice. Inside 72 hours, including same-day cancellations, the deposit is not refunded — though you may still use your one complimentary reschedule to move to a new date.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Work is booked by session rather than quoted per piece, so you know the cost before you sit down: Quarter Session $500, Half Session $1,500, Full Session $2,700, Full Day, Back-to-Back $5,400. The shop minimum is $200. The artist confirms which session your design needs once they have reviewed it, since scale and detail determine how long it takes.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Touch-ups are quoted individually, generally between $100 and $500 depending on the size and difficulty of the work involved. Send a photo of the piece with your request and the artist will confirm the cost before booking you in.

Can I bring my own design?

Accepted Answer

Either way works. The artist can design your piece from a brief and reference imagery, or you can bring artwork you already have and it will be adapted to sit properly on the body. Reference images and sketches are always welcome with your application.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes — the artist takes on most cover-ups. Every one is reviewed first: send clear photos of the existing tattoo with your application and the artist will confirm what is achievable before committing to the piece. Some older or heavily saturated work needs more than one session.

How should I care for my tattoo?

Keep the area clean and moisturised, and avoid sun exposure, swimming and picking at the skin while it heals. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided after every session, and you can reach out at any point during healing.

When can I expose my tattoo to the sun?

Wait at least 4 weeks before direct sun exposure. After that, always apply SPF 50+ — sun is the single biggest cause of a tattoo fading over the years.

What should I do to prepare?

Eat a full meal before your session, stay hydrated in the days beforehand, wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior. A solid night of sleep makes a noticeable difference.

Do I need to be 18?

Yes. Georgia law requires clients to be 18 or older to be tattooed, with no exception for parental consent. Valid photo ID is verified before your session.

Is tattooing safe?

When performed in a professional studio with sterile equipment, tattooing is very safe. Scenic Tattoo uses single-use needles and medical-grade pigments, and every client completes a short health questionnaire beforehand.

Where is the studio located?

Scenic Tattoo Studio is in Buford, Georgia, a few minutes from the Mall of Georgia and easily reached from Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Lawrenceville, Dacula and Flowery Branch. It is a private studio rather than a storefront, so the exact address is not published — you receive it, along with directions and parking, once your session is confirmed. That keeps the space quiet and one-client-at-a-time, which is the whole point of working this way.

What are your hours?

Monday — Saturday: 10 AM – 6 PM. Sunday: Closed. These are the hours the studio operates, but sessions are scheduled individually — your appointment time is confirmed by the artist once your application has been reviewed, so there is no need to arrive within a particular window unless you have been given one.

Can I bring someone with me?

One guest is welcome. The studio is a private space rather than an open shop floor, so please keep it to a single person and let the artist know in advance. Children cannot be accommodated during a session.
